Work for Tatton 2009

William the friendly Scarecrow

Sue was invited back to make a sculpture for a new concept in Tatton, called ‘Art in the Garden’. Using the skills she had acquired in willow weaving she made a giant scarecrow and birds out of recycled metal and willows.

Sue was awarded a Commendation for her sculpture by the RHS. She also had a stand where sculptures were displayed for commission purposes.

Living Medicine

Sue and Jules were accepted to create a ‘Back to Back Garden’ in Tatton. It was inspired by medieval monastic gardens but with a contemporary interpretation to it. With little money and lots of hard work both Sue and Jules produced their garden entitled ‘Living Medicine’…. Obtaining a Bronze Medal!

Sue made the copper sculptures and structures, they both made the willow hurdles and the herbs were Jules domain.
